About The Opportunity: Polywelder / Dewatering technician required for our Energy division. The purpose of the Hybrid Dewatering Technician / Polywelder Operator role is to install, operate and maintain dewatering systems, water pumps, generators, dewatering trailers, HDPE pipelines and associated valving, while also performing polywelding activities, interpreting designs and drawings, monitoring and maintaining welding equipment, and assessing polywelded components to support safe and efficient project delivery. You will be welding HDPE, stringing pipe, loading welding machines, flushing and hydrotesting and digging trenches when required on site. This is a Perth based ADHOC site role with 70% being on site when required. Site uplift is in addition to the hourly rate. To be successful in this role you will need: A minimum of 2 years post qualified experience working as Polywelder. A minimum of 2 years' experience using a variety of Polywelding equipment and procedures specifically (McElroy -T618, T500, T900 and Dixon welder) - High-density polyethylene (HDPE / PEHD) experience including PLASSON, butt welding, electrofusion and extrusion welding. Experience installing, operating and maintaining pumps, generators, dewatering trailers, pipelines, associated valving and related site equipment. A minimum of 1 years' experience operating on site. The ability to complete hydrotesting operations of HDPE. Self-efficient in welding operations with the ability to coordinate a small poly crew. Self-efficient in general earth works and can coordinate the team involved in the task at hand. Needs to be competent in interpretating HDPE and Civil construction drawings.
